Why Hire a Professional Photographer?
With any service you hire, you would only want to hire a professional right? Why is a photographer any different? With how easy photography is to access for many currently with the digital world, there are too many that say they take pictures and call themselves professional photographers. It is not just a picture, these are your special memories, moments, events. To be handed images you do not like or have them badly exposed, is just NOT OK! Especially if you are paying for them. So, why hire a professional photographer?
Personally, I have worked hard and spent over 20 years being trained and working in the field with other professionals BEFORE making a company name and going into business myself. I believe it is crucial to make sure who you are hiring has experience or credentials. Photographers, are no different than any other contractor and definitely should have credentials for the art they are offering. At least have a business license and an educational background. Like many professions, it takes experience and credentials to achieve the title professional, so it is very important your photographer has experience.
A Professional photographer should have a background of working in the field and create bright, correctly exposed, work for their client. Hiring a professional, you will see incredible results instead of amateur results. A professional photographer also works with you and listens to your needs, instead of forcing you to understand their vision. Customer service does not disappear just because it is artist based. Hiring a photographer should be just the same as hiring a professional chef. They cook what you want, and give you high quality service and product.
A professional is not someone that picks up a camera and just points the camera. A professional takes the time to understand the clients needs and visions, takes to time to find the perfect location and lighting situation, and involves themselves in creating a special moment for you to cherish. I work with lighting, I make sure the scene is professionally exposed, bright, and saturated with color. I do not just follow a certain style, for styles change. I photograph colorful scenes and professionally expose my photographs. I am not a natural light photographer. I believe there is SO MUCH more I can capture and create, than just point and click. I add lighting, I add color, I capture emotion, correctly.
Just like any art, it is subjective, but I have always had high quality standards and that holds true with my vision as an artist. I place that passion and prestige emotion towards my efforts of capturing your special events. Hiring a professional is IMPORTANT, especially with your SWEETEST memories.
